College of the Canyons
College of the Canyons offers an American Bar Association (ABA)-approved Paralegal Studies Program designed to prepare students for careers as paralegals or legal assistants. The program offers both an Associate in Arts degree and a Certificate of Achievement in Paralegal Studies, comprising 31 units (11 classes) covering essential legal topics. The curriculum includes courses in legal research, writing, civil litigation, contract law, tort law, and legal ethics. Classes are scheduled in the evenings and are available online via Zoom and Canvas, accommodating working professionals. The program emphasizes practical skills and requires an internship, enhancing students’ marketability upon graduation.
